EAS is the largest noncommercial beekeeping organization in the United States and one of the largest in the world
Heartland Apicultural Association (HAS) is a Mid-Western states non-profit organization bringing the latest scientific beekeeping research, beginning beekeeping classes and advanced beekeeping classes to beekeepers
Western Apicultural Association (WAS) is a non-profit educational beekeeping organization for the benefit and enjoyment of all beekeepers in Western North America.
University Resources
Michigan Pollinators Initiative is managed by Michigan State University to provide resources for beekeepers, growers, pollinator planting, and research publications
University of Minnesota Bee Lab's mission is to promote the conservation, health, and diversity of bee pollinators through research, education, and hands-on mentorship.
University of Guelph (Ontario) Honey Bee Research Centre provides cutting edge research including genetics and best practices for beekeeping. They maintain over 300 hives on campus to conduct their research.
Penn State Extension offers a variety of courses for beginner and more advanced beekeepers. Some of the more involved/detailed courses (e.g., Beekeeping 101) are offered for a fee, but much of the material is available a no charge.
